Genius

People who have seen me eat know that I usually only use one hand no matter what. *picks up fork* *stabs* *munch*

The other day, I was having some pasta, but because I like my privacy, I was sitting somewhere a lil obscure but with a really low table, up to my knees. So then I worried a bit cus I recall that eating might be a bit messy. And then..

*right hand spins fork contemplatively around pasta*
..*left hand moves!*
*left hand picks up spoon*
*right hand moves fork to slide over spoon held by left hand*
*roll of pasta falls neatly onto spoon*
*left hand»spoon» munch*

Conclusion: Transferred pasta from fork on the right hand, to spoon on the left.

WIN!!

… Ok. For a few minutes after that and in random moments throughout the week, I couldn’t help thinking: My God. That was bloody brilliant.

I was thinking how ingenious it was that such an action could be made possible, and of course, that it was amazing that I could do it. (indirect praise is w/e really) And then I pondered hard as to remember who exactly I must have learnt this brilliant action from. Um.. I couldn’t quite remember, and I daren’t attribute the action as some innovation on my part of any kind.. but damn!!

Yes I know it’s a moronic thing to be in awe of. But it’s been a week and I STILL can’t get over how flipping amazing that was.

Ok. Remaining stuff is just some WoW.

…I don’t know what I was thinking when I actually had hope that the ToL cooldown just meant that druids gotta wait when shifting from humanoid>tree>humanoid and want to go tree again. The wake up call came when attention was directed to the “lasts for 45 SECONDS” part. And like all trees… Imma just ….. …… QQ.

.. Hm. In health psych class today, we were examining a case study whereby the client turns to smoking to cope with his work-related stress. The intervention plan was to convince him to adopt healthier coping mechanisms, as well as to stop smoking.

It occurred to me that alcohol dependence, smoking, binge eating, drug abuse.. and.. yeah. internet gaming (ooh im calling it), are very real coping mechanisms for problems which people have. And I was just wondering… (at the throes of my severe, severe wow addiction), how.. strange it is that health psych takes for granted stuff like how… ‘exercise’ is a better coping mechanism than ‘smoking’. I guess it IS a healthier coping mechanism, but unless there is some really good reason why ‘health’ is a higher priority than.. some other stuff… then.. well… Who’s to say that these coping mechanisms people have are.. wrong? They’re not bad other than being destructive wrt social, mental, physical health… But.. insofar as at that moment, these forms of coping work to induce a kind of relief.. then these are decent coping mechanisms that are readily accessible.

… Again, I blame society for not having incorporated these lessons into education curriculum. If we want healthy productive individuals, then by the gods! Shouldn’t we have placed just as much emphasis on happiness and mental health… as.. say… GEOGRAPHY?? Oo.

In any case, if anyone is interested, feel free to take a look at my noob 80 here. Pay no attention to the experimental enchants and gems for purposes of levelling professions. D: Meh. And the lack of heroic gear… I have been doing other stuff than dungeon running, really. ..Hm. I thought it was kinda cool that the site tracks recent activities. But yeah.. Oh. One hilarious thing was me having purchased the Malfurion gloves, but then having a nicer glove with haste rating dropped at FoS later. rawr. there goes 30 emblems. wheee.

…. sigh. real life commitments shirked where possible…. hope i have it in me to survive the repurcussions… But it doesn’t help when I still haven’t failed any subjects, and recently got 45/50 for Biological Psychology midterms.

SMITE ME, OH MIGHTY SMITER!!!
